Korean, Hangeul

Despite the fact that I am generally pretty atrocious at languages, I do enjoy the wonderful simplicity of the Korean script. It is all based on right angles and is designed exclusively for ease of learning and manipulation. It was created in direct response to the difficulties of Chinese by King Sejong in the 15th century so his largely illiterate horde could read and write as much as the Confucian educated nobility, a very progressive act for a time and a place that was anything but.
