Lucy comes to America, gingerly

Lucy, the oldest existing skeleton remains dated at more than three million years old, will be traveling to the United States to begin a six-year run at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. However, she is brittle. The Egyptian Government is worried that perhaps she will not survive the ordeal.

The significance of Lucy is that she is evidence that humans were walking upright, even three million years ago.
