Michael Gallagher on the Isle of La Grande Jatte one Sunday Afternoon

Have you ever seen your likeness in a painting? Did you ever recognize a mood, an image so remarkable that you felt you knew it from somewhere? Ever wonder why everyone is facing left except for that mother and child in the middle?

All that aside, the man in the circle is most definitely the 19th century incarnation of me, Michael Gallagher. That is even how I sit in the grass or on the beach.
