I was feeling in a delightfully drifting sort of driving around in the summer sun kind of mood today so for today’s (as if there was consistent) installment of the song of the day, I give you Joe Pug, Drive-By Truckers and My Morning Jacket. They are all brilliant musicians and truly worth a $.99 download on iTunes if you get the chance.

So, here I sit with this music, this early evening sunshine pouring through my veranda window and this lovely Dogfish Head beer. Watching the world turn and wondering why it has to.

Take a listen and give them support.

* and yes, just like this brilliant blog Expatriate Games, I am saddened by My Morning Jacket’s hiatus.
