I heed the calls of my limited readership. I am a man of the people. You spoke and I listened. To break up the monotony of my posts on nostalgia, music, education, and various other technology things that interest me, I bring you this.

Voltron is 25 years old.

VoltronTracers

Yes, little Michael Gallagher would rush home after St. Dominic’s School in Youngstown, Ohio, and sit in front of the TV watching G.I. Joe, Voltron, and Robotech. And then I would run outside with my siblings and try to form a lion by standing on each other. In our Catholic school clothes, much to my mother’s chagrin.

So there you have it. Please do visit this site because someone has not only upheld the dream of Voltron, but indeed embellished it. And who in their right mind would not want this t-shirt?

Dynatherms? Intercells? Megathrusters? Ahh, back when science was nondescript jibber jabber.

For those who just can’t seem to get enough, it does seem that there will be a live action version of Voltron.

Will I see it? Absolutely not. I will keep my childhood right where it belongs. In some backyard in Ohio. In matching pants and shirt. In polished shoes. In fear.

  1. Is it not the most brilliant t-shirt ever? I used to have a Voltron sleepin bag as a kid that I used all the time, even in my regular bed. This reminds me of that. I think I might be ordering it for myself.

  2. So this morning I typed “voltron” into Google images…as you do. As I am scrolling through the images, I find an excellent specimen… And when I select it, a familiar name appears “michaelseangallagher.” What a small digital world!
