The deep blue of an endless sky
Foaming waters lapping onto shore
Bamboo swaying forth on a mindful evening
Alone atop a mountain of expanse
My soul breathes from an image set next to
This place of worship.

Far from the currents of commerce
Mindful of God’s watchful eye
Playfully lapping the water beside the market
And resting beneath the tomb of an ancient king

As the sun rests slowly behind those peaks
Another day gives over to night
I am no more than these trees, this grass, these rivers of green.
