The artist is Jonsi, the lead singer/guitarist/songwriter behind Sigur Ros. The film is called Go Quiet, which is basically a film of Jonsi playing songs after waking up on New Years Day. Be sure to follow along to 1:23, when it picks up considerably. Great stuff; I am a lifelong fan.

I agree – Sigur Ros and their extended family (Anima, Jonsi&Alex etc) are all complete genius. There was life before Sigur Ros but I can’t remember much about it.

I suppose the real question is how many tracks do you have on your iPod from the Sigur Ros/Jonsi & Alex, Amiina collective? I have them all bunched in one playlist, a playlist that stands above all others (except for yours, Melissa! Running with Chopsticks playlist still holds court in this household!)

No worries at all, Nigel. Enjoy the writing and do hope you continue. It is strange that with the ubiquity of text online, it often feels as though creative prose has been devalued (or at least it feels that people are partaking in it less and less). From my own perspective, I often view all my output online as creative in some way and that (sometimes) satisfies those creative demons that lurk within and are always clamoring to get out. Does that make sense? A day without creative expression is a wasted day. That doesn’t bode well for relaxing on a Sunday morning, but there you have it! Long story short: keep writing and I will keep writing.
