My wife and I found this wikipedia article absolutelty fascinating. An American woman from Pennsylvania working as an architect in New York marries a Korean prince and lives in a humble abode on the royal premises until her husband divorces for not producing a male heir. Sounds fairly antiquated, yet the woman is still alive in southern Seoul, namely an apartment in Gangnam.

Give it a read if you can spare the time.

There is going to be a movie made from this story starring Cate Blanchett. It sounds interesting.

The picture is of the married couple.
