Cordial dawn approaching,
this translucent sky raising my furtive brow.

I inhale with craning anticipation.

If I am able to reach
you with my words today,
like pearl divers in the Pacific,
let it be my last.

Everything else will
be a recreation of that perfect moment,

my fanatical cherry blossom
clinging to a lonesome branch
in that crisp wild wind
off the Potomac, the Han.
