Seoul,
lonely summer evening,
deep in the confines of Gangbuk.

Lifting tired feet from cracked pavement,
sleeping on the grass
in front of City Hall.

Watching the trapped tigers
in the Plaza Hotel coffee shop.

Looking West towards
Deoksugung, an ant
bending a blade of grass.

Acrobatic children
jumping through
assymetrical fountains.

Wandering in time, deep
in the heart of a summer
long since forgotten.
